Dr. Scott Stewart

Executive Director

As Executive Director of Kaleidoscope Park Foundation, Dr. Scott Stewart translates into actions his passions for the role played by public spaces in the development of communities, elevation of the arts, and enhancement of economies. He sees public spaces as the stage on which lives can change, people can be inspired, and communities are enhanced. Scott believes Kaleidoscope Park will become all these—and so much more—for all North Texans and visitors to the region.

Scott has held previous positions with Millennium Park, Lurie Garden, Park District of Oak Park, and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. He travels broadly speaking to nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, architects, urban planners, parks & recreation professionals, and creatives about the cultural, tourism, and economic opportunities presented by well-designed and well-operated public spaces. Scott holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Horticulture from the University of Florida and bachelor’s degrees in biology, chemistry, and English from Illinois College.
