Celebrate Throughout October at Kaleidoscope Park

FRISCO, Texas (Oct. 14, 2024) – Kaleidoscope Park, the 5.7-acre signature park in Frisco, celebrated its Grand Opening earlier this month, but the long-anticipated destination plans a full calendar of events year-round to thrill North Texans. Kaleidoscope Park offers a variety of activities throughout the remainder of October with something for everyone.

Each Saturday morning, the popular Frisco Rotary Farmers Market will bring local makers, farmers and more to the park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. After guests shop the market, it’s the perfect time to snap a fall selfie at one of the park’s many pumpkin displays.

On Fun Friday, which takes place Oct. 18 and 25, kids of all ages are welcomed to Kaleidoscope Park from 10 a.m. to noon for a fun petting zoo visit on the park’s large Performance Lawn. Families will enjoy a fun-filled experience that allows visitors to touch and brush a variety of gentle and clean animals that love interaction. Face painting will also be available during the event.

Thursday nights in October, go “Live After 5.” Come to Kaleidoscope Park to listen to live music and nosh on bites from food trucks on Oct. 17, 24 and 31 from 5:30  to 8:30 p.m. Performances begin at 6 p.m.

On Saturday, Oct. 26, Kaleidoscope Park will be home for the seventh annual Frisco Arts 5K sponsored by Baylor Scott & White Health. This year’s start, finish and post-race festivities will take place in Kaleidoscope Park. The Frisco Arts 5K is a family-friendly event open to all ages and fitness levels, aimed at celebrating the North Texas arts community. Race participants will enjoy a unique route filled with interactive artists including musicians, dancers and actors. Proceeds from this event will support Frisco Arts Foundation and Kaleidoscope Park Foundation. Registration for this year’s run can be found here.

Following the Frisco Arts 5K, there will be fun activities throughout the day, including a costume contest, a “paw-rade” for pets and their humans, and more. That evening the Plano Symphony Orchestra will perform a rousing medley of superhero movie themes in a Halloween-themed concert on the Performance Lawn. This free concert will be Saturday, Oct. 26 from 7 to 8:30 p.m., and costumes are encouraged. Register for the “paw-rade” at bit.ly/KP-Pawrade.
