Festival celebrating culture, community, and island-inspired fun sponsored by Pineapple Construction
FRISCO, Texas (May 29, 2025) – Kaleidoscope Park invites North Texas residents and visitors to experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of the islands at its upcoming Polynesian Festival, happening Saturday, June 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free tropical celebration is sponsored by Pineapple Construction, a proudly Polynesian-owned company.
The festival will open with remarks from Kaleidoscope Park’s Executive Director, Shawn Jackson, followed by Pineapple Construction’s CEO, Jr Moeakiola. Then, the Performance Lawn will come alive with four live dance performances: Toloa Polynesian Dance at 10:30 a.m., No te Moana at 11 a.m., Sounds of Polynesia at 11:30 a.m., and Koloa of Polynesia at 12 p.m.
“This festival is a beautiful opportunity to bring Polynesian culture to Kaleidoscope Park and to share it with the wider North Texas region,” said Shawn Jackson, Executive Director of Kaleidoscope Park. “We’re committed to being a destination that celebrates diversity and offers inclusive programs for people of all backgrounds.”
Throughout the event, visitors can also enjoy a Polynesian-inspired market featuring island-style vendors and tropical food options, as well as interactive activities for all ages. Families can look forward to luau-style games, including a hula hoop contest, and arts and crafts stations offering Polynesian tattoos and shell necklace making.
“As a Polynesian-owned company, it was important for us at Pineapple Construction to be part of bringing this celebration to life,” said Jr Moeakiola, CEO of Pineapple Construction. “We’re proud to share a piece of our heritage with the community and help create an unforgettable day at Kaleidoscope Park.”
