Kaleidoscope Park to Host Community Sports Day, Powered by Baylor Scott & White Health

A free day of sports, community spirit, and healthy living

FRISCO, Texas (July 1, 2025) – Kaleidoscope Park will host Community Sports Day, powered by the Park’s official health and wellness sponsor, Baylor Scott & White Health, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. This free, family-friendly event will bring together fans, athletes, and healthcare professionals from across the region to celebrate sports, community spirit, and healthy living.

Beginning at 9 a.m., visitors are invited to the Park’s Performance Lawn for a morning of interactive fun, including games, friendly competitions, and meet-and-greets with mascots and representatives from some of North Texas’s favorite sports teams and organizations. From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., visitors can also stop by “Bench Talk with Baylor Scott & White Health” to hear from spine surgeons from the Baylor Scott & White Spine & Scoliosis Center, who will share expert tips on how to stay active while preventing and treating common sports injuries.

Throughout the Park, fans can explore Team Zones—shaded tents hosted by participating sports teams—each offering its own engaging activity:

  • Frisco RoughRiders Zone – Mini base running course and glove toss challenges
  • Texas Legends Zone – Pop-up basketball hoop toss with mascot Dunker
  • FC Dallas Zone – Dribbling course and trick shot contest
  • Dallas Stars Zone – Floor hockey, stick-handling challenge, and hockey trivia
  • Main Event Frisco Zone – Spin wheel prize giveaways, Plinko board with candy, and inflatable character
  • Stonebriar Country Club Zone – Racquet sports including tennis and pickleball

To encourage exploration, Kaleidoscope Park will offer a Passport Experience. Guests who visit every Team Zone will receive a complimentary ice-cold lemonade from Palato Italian Kitchen & Lounge and be entered into a drawing to win one of four prizes: an overnight stay at HALL Park Hotel, donated by HALL Park Hotel; a Texas Rangers package (including a parking pass and two all-you-can-eat tickets); an FC Dallas package (including two tickets); and a Dallas Cowboys package (including two preseason game tickets). All three sports packages were generously donated by HALL Park. Participants do not need to be present to win.

Visitors can also cool off at the Hydration Station provided by Hydrate IV Bar, and Carter BloodCare will host a mobile blood drive on-site from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., giving visitors the chance to give back while enjoying the festivities. A variety of local food trucks will be onsite throughout the day, including Kona Ice, Patrick’s Pops, JWB Vending, DonutNV, and the newly opened Palato Parkside Airstream.

“Community Sports Day is a powerful example of what’s possible when North Texas organizations come together in service of community health and wellness,” said Shawn Jackson, Executive Director of Kaleidoscope Park. “We’re proud to collaborate with Baylor Scott & White Health and so many beloved sports teams to inspire active lifestyles and create meaningful moments for families across North Texas.”

“Frisco is an outstanding community for developing athletes, and Baylor Scott & White is honored to be part of this unique event to promote healthy and safe sports participation,” shared Wes Tidwell, President, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Centennial.
